On Saturday 11th of November Northside Records presents TomGirl and GODTET live instore. Both bands are launching their highly anticipated debut releases – on Northside Records and La Sape Records respectively.

TomGirl’s debut release in yet another soul-hybrid from Melbourne’s inner-North. The new single ‘My lovers’ is a little anthem for love that isn’t finite – it is formless and free. The flipside ‘Dunes’ is a mostly instrumental tune reminiscent of 60’s psych-lounge, 70’s surf soundtracks and urban noir, with a touch of the ‘doo-wops’…. totally unique and beyond classification. TomGirl is an all-female five piece comprising Anita Chorowicz, Danika Smith, Harmony Byrne, Laura Clinch and Shanti Lane. Live at Northside from 3pm.

GODTET is a new band put together by Sydney-based guitarist/producer Godriguez. Dave ‘Godriguez’ burst on the scene in 2015 as the producer for Sampa the Great’s ‘Great Mixtape’, making waves both here and all over the world. Whilst the players here are from a jazz background and the instrumentation is undoubtably jazz, the music pushes into other territories.
